Yard sale: New Heart Place's Giant Yard Sale continues 9 a.m.-2 p.m. today in the parking lot and gym at Westgate Chapel South, 22901 Edmonds Way, Edmonds. New Heart Place is a residential recovery program for men dealing with addictions. More info: 425-775-2776.
Garage sale: Zion Lutheran Church in Snohomish continues its garage sale 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today at 330 Union Ave. All proceeds go toward purchasing yarn for chemotherapy caps and for maintenance of a van that is used for community services.
Missions raffle: Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church of Startup is selling $1 raffle tickets for a large doll house; proceeds benefit missions programs. The next event at which to buy raffle tickets is at Gold Bar's Gold Dust Days, which rus July 25-27. The three-story, 18th-century-style doll house features a shake-covered roof and turret, operational windows and doors, and Victorian furniture. Tickets also are sold at local businesses. Summer choir: Lutheran Choral Association of Snohomish County, an ecumenical summer choir, invites singers of all denominations to join in singing praises to God, 7-9 p.m. Mondays through Sept. 1 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 9320 Meadow Way, Everett. Unity Everett: Join Elizabeth Griffin for the lesson, “Love's Calling: A Journey of Self,” 10 a.m. Sunday at Everett Unity Center for Positive Living, 3231 Colby Ave. The lesson is based on Griffin's autobiography, which recounts her breast cancer diagnosis, world travels, and the discovery that the true terrain of her explorations is within.
