The Everett Chorale has announced its 2014-15 season.
A highlight of the season will be the spring concert at Benaroya Hall when the chorale performs the great cantata “Carmina Burana” alongside the Rainier Chorale and the Sammamish Symphony Orchestra.
People are encouraged to save money by buying season tickets in advance rather than purchasing individual concert tickets throughout the year.
General admission season tickets are $70. Tickets available to seniors, students and military personnel for $66. Both season prices offer a savings of $26 over individual tickets for all events.
The Sweet Sounds of Christmas with the Brass Reflections Quintet is the season opener. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 and 3 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave.
Next up is “Puttin’ On the Ritz,” a gala sing-along at 6 p.m. Feb. 27 in the beautiful Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo.
“Carmina Burana” is scheduled for 2 p.m. April 19. Carl Orff composed the piece in the mid-1930s based on a set of 24 medieval poems. Benaroya Hall, the home of the Seattle Symphony, is located 200 University St., Seattle.
The season ends with a concert titled “What a Wonderful World” with mezzo-Soprano soloist Kathryn Weld at 3 p.m. June 7, 2015, at the Everett Performing Arts Center.
The 80-member Everett Chorale is directed by Lee Mathews, who has been with the chorale for more than 20 years.
