EVERETT — Longtime Everett police officer Dan Templeman was sworn in as Everett’s police chief Wednesday afternoon.

Templeman grew up in Lake Stevens and graduated from Lake Stevens High School and Western Washington University. He and his wife have two sons.

More than 30 men and women have served as the Everett police chief since the city incorporated in 1893.
