SPOKANE — A 42-year-old man who was convicted of killing his girlfriend was sentenced Thursday in Spokane to 30 years in prison.
Daniel Arteaga was convicted of murder in April for shooting Kimberley Rae Schmidt, 34. Her body was found by her mother on New Year’s Day 2012.
KHQ reports Arteaga dated Schmidt for more than six years although he was married.
