Fire at abandoned Martha Lake house called arson

LYNNWOOD An investigation is under way into an arson Thursday night at an abandoned house near Martha Lake.

The fire was reported just before 7 p.m. in the 16000 block of Second Place W., Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.

Crews arrived to find the house engulfed in flames.

The fire was extinguished within about 25 minutes. No injuries were reported.

The house was scheduled to be demolished. Damage was estimated at $20,000.

Anyone with information should call 425-388-3557 or call 1-800-55-ARSON.

There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.
