Seahawks reportedly re-sign DT Tony McDaniel

Two days into free agency, the Seahawks have lost plenty of free agents, but they kept an important one Wednesday, agreeing to a two-year deal with Tony McDaniel reportedly worth up to $6.3 million. ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the signing.

McDaniel was a starting defensive tackle in Seattle’s base defense, helping anchor the run defense alongside Brandon Mebane. With several key linemen from last year’s team gone—Chris Clemons and Red Bryant were released to create cap space, and Clinton McDonald signed with Tampa Bay Tuesday—keeping McDaniel will provide some continuity for a position group that will look quite a bit different next year.
