MONROE — Monroe outscored Lake Stevens 16-8 in the third quarter to erase a five-point deficit and the Bearcats went on to win the loser-out game at the 4A District 1 Tournament. Amber Van Brunt scored 12 points for Monroe, while Emily Vandegrift had a game-high 15 for the Vikings. Monroe will play the loser of the Jackson-Arlington game in a consolation semifinal on Tuesday.
