Associated Press
Published:
LACEY Police in Lacey say a 75-year-old woman was struck by a car and killed Wednesday night as she tried to cross a local road.
Lacey Sgt. Shannon Barnes said the driver stopped immediately and is cooperating with police.
The spokeswoman says the woman was not in a crosswalk. She was not immediately identified.
KOMO-TV reported that Barnes said it does not appear that speed or alcohol played a role in the collision.
