Monkey lab

Profit-driven hypocrites at work

SHARE: facebook Twitter icon Linkedin icon Google+ icon Email icon |  PRINTER-FRIENDLY
Regarding the article, “Research monkeys live and die in Everett lab”: SNBL’s vice president says the people who protest outside his facility “should reflect more on what happens inside.” I’m one of those animal activists, and I know what goes on inside the facility and why: inside they test and abuse live, sentient beings and the reason why is profit. It has been incontrovertibly proven that alternative medical testing is more accurate, applicable, efficient and cheaper than testing on animals. It sickens me that these profit-driven hypocrites, without a moral compass, have installed a Shinto shrine “honoring” the animals they exploited. Why has SNBL “kept a low profile and its operations behind closed doors” with rigid security if their pursuits are honorable?
