Columnist lost without Obama

SHARE: facebook Twitter icon Linkedin icon Google+ icon Email icon |  PRINTER-FRIENDLY
In his Dec. 13 column, political pundit Charles Krauthammer has to be Barack Obama's best buddy to find fault with everything he does.
He has to be on the president's Christmas list, and this is not lost on anyone who has read any of C.K.'s columns for the year 2013. No president can please all the people all the time or some of the people some of the time. In Charles' case, he is not pleased at all. He wants to be the baddest bully at the Washington Post and will accept his "present" in the form of coal; "One lump or two?"
Have your dictionary handy when reading C.K.'s column for it can be amusing when you combine reality and fantasy. You can say anything and mean nothing with the use of "high brow" words. He weaves several topics together to make his arguments about Obama's handling of things now, but on one of America's worst days, Sept. 11, 2001, and the political blunders of the previous administration, he has nothing to say. He blames Obama on spending, even though Congress does the spending, but that reality is lost on Krauthammer. His column might be worthy of Tolstoy, but he does not have to hide to get his point(s) across; he loves Obama!
