SPOKANE -- Court documents filed in the case of a driver accused of crashing through a chain-link perimeter fence at Fairchild Air Force Base say the woman told troopers she had been inhaling keyboard cleaner fumes before the crash.
The vehicle crashed through the fence Sunday night and continued on a perimeter road to a gate where it was surrounded by security forces.
Troopers arrested the 22-year-old driver for investigation of DUI and endangering her 14-year-old brother, who was a passenger.
KHQ reported that troopers say the brother told them the vehicle was traveling over 100 miles per hour, and he actually had to unbuckle and take control of the car to get it stopped
Fairchild officials say the breach had little impact on base operations.
