Weather forecasters canceled a flood watch for Snohomish County rivers Sunday afternoon, but cautioned that snow flurries remained part of the outlook for the Everett area on Monday.
Then, prepare for cold, dry weather Tuesday through Thursday, with the risk of snow returning on Friday.
"We're actually going to be ending our flood watch for Snohomish County," National Weather Service metrologist Josh Smith said.
The Weather Service predicted up to 6 inches of snowfall at Stevens Pass between Sunday night and Monday morning.
In the Everett area, you may see snow flurries sometime Monday afternoon or evening, Smith said. The hills could see an inch or more accumulate.
As usual, the convergence zone could skew the weather picture in either direction.
"It all depends on where the convergence zone sets up for the areas that will see that snow," Smith said.
The state Department of Transportation warned drivers to plan for winter driving conditions, including those headed to the Seattle Seahawks' Monday night game at CenturyLink Field.
State maintenance crews are prepared to clear snow and ice, with state troopers on hand to escort plows and sand trucks as necessary.
From Tuesday through Thursday, high temperatures around Everett were expected to hover around freezing, with lows into the 20s. Those days are expected to be dry and mostly clear.
The chance of snow returns on Friday.
