Rental trees are put to good use

How about renting a Christmas tree instead of buying one?
The Adopt A Stream Foundation will rent live trees from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Northwest Stream Center.
Sitka spruce, red cedar and Douglas fir trees are $35.
After the holidays you can plant the tree yourself or return it to the center to be planted next to a stream.
Almost 200 trees from last year's sale are now keeping streams cool and shady for the salmon.
Call 425-316-8592 for more information.
The Northwest Stream Center is at McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett.
