Scoot your boots to downtown Everett.
Hometown Hootenanny is shaking it up at Historic Everett Theatre on Saturday.
The event, held nine times a year in Everett, is sponsored by Red Curtain Foundation for the Arts in Marysville.
"Every month the show has a different theme," said Red Curtain spokeswoman Beckye Randall.
"We like to do something different so it's something new every time they come."
This month's "Straight from the Honky Tonk" show has toe-tapping, two-stepping tunes made popular in southern dancehalls and Texas honky tonks.
You can do more than listen and bop in your chair.
Free line-dancing lessons will be offered before the show, from 7 to 7:25 p.m.
"This is the first time we're going to do it," Randall said. "We encourage people to get up and dance and they're always feeling self-conscious. This show is perfect for line dancing, so we decided to do a little dance class so people will be comfortable to get up and do it."
Performers are Hometown Band, Knut Bell and the Blue Collars and Jenny and the Blue Moon Boys.
The Hometown Hootenanny starts at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9. at Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave.
Tickets are $17 general, $14 for seniors and students, and $5 for kids 12 and under, at or by calling 425-258-6766.
