‘I Love Lucy’ as she is

CBS, you have some 'splainin' to do: CBS plans to colorize two black-and-white episodes of the 1950s series, "I Love Lucy," as a Christmas special for Dec. 20, including the grape-stomping episode.

Why stop at colorization? Let's recast "I Love Lucy" with Kim Kardashian as Lucy, Kanye West as Ricky and Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold as Ethel and Fred Mertz.

Still need Latvia and Belgium: Days after France criticized the NSA's data gathering of its phone records, German Chancellor Angela Merkel complained that U.S. intelligence had targeted her mobile phone.

We understand wanting to get the whole set, especially after it spent the money on that special "Phone Records of Our European Allies" display case, but maybe the NSA ought to take up stamp or coin collecting.

Don't know much about history: On this day in 1861, the first telegraph message was sent from San Francisco to President Abraham Lincoln in Washington, D.C.

The text of the telegraph read: "LOL stop Cat just pounced on top of dog stop Wish someone would hurry and invent YouTube stop ROFL full stop."
