Tuesday Seahawks links

In today’s Herald, we take a look at the Seahawks facing a new challenge this season: responding to a loss. Prior to Sunday’s loss in Indianapolis, the Seahawks hadn’t lost a regular-season game since Nov. 25 of last year, and since they obviously didn’t have to prepare for a game following their playoff loss, this is the first time the Seahawk have been in this situation since that game in Miami last fall.

“I don’t want to get real good at this—I don’t want to get good at playing well after losses—but we need to handle it well,” Pete Carroll said. “I’m curious to see if we do, and we’ll take care of that stuff day by day and watch what’s going on and listen to them and make sure they’re on track and that we can get great preparation.”

Greg Bedard of does a weekly feature called “Decisive Moments” and this week he breaks down the third-quarter 29-yard touchdown pass to T.Y. Hilton that helped the Colts beat the Seahawks.

Speaking of Hilton, the Colts receiver told USA Today that he was fired up because of insults from Seahawks corner Brandon Browner.

Danny O’Neil of 710 ESPN Seattle looks at three things we learned and three things we’re trying to figure out about the Seahawks.

Not surprisingly, the Seahawks have dropped in various power rankings, including ESPN’s and’s.

An interesting chart at that uses advance stats to show where teams stand based on offense and defense. As you might expect, the Seahawks are in a pretty good place on the chart. The Jacksonville Jaguars are not.

ESPN’s Terry Blount offers an examination of four issues from Seattle’s loss.

Last week I linked to a good NFL Films feature on Richard Sherman and his journey from Compton to the NFL. Now Fox has its version of that story.

And if you missed it from the weekend, ESPN looked at UW quarterback Keith Price, including his relationship with Seahawks QB Russell Wilson.
