BOISE, Idaho -- Sixteen wildfires burned in Idaho on Saturday but crews expected to have the massive Beaver Creek Fire in central Idaho fully contained by the end of the day.
Fire spokeswoman Robyn Broyles said there's been a rapid release of resources as the fire that once threatened the resort area of Ketchum and Sun Valley nears containment.
About 460 firefighters remained, but Broyles said that will drop to about 150 for rehabilitation work expected to last through Thursday.
In western Idaho, the Raft Fire grew to about 14 square miles with no containment, while the nearby Hells Canyon 1 Fire grew to about 15 square miles but is 20 percent contained.
Officials said four campgrounds were evacuated Friday along with hunting camps within the Weiser Ranger District that has been closed.
