Seems Like Yesterday

50 years ago (1963)

Emil A. Olson, who had been cashier of Bothell State Bank since 1961 and assistant cashier since 1953, was named cashier of the bank of Everett. He was a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. Other Bank of Everett employees who recently joined the staff were Peggy McBride and Donna Bortner.

Tamie Marie Hibbard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hibbard, Route 2, Snohomish, was celebrating her second birthday. Grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Carlson of Snohomish and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hibbard, Monroe. Tamie's brother, Timmy, was 3 months old. Great-grandmother was Ida Hibbard of Monroe.



25 years ago (1988)

Manu Tuiasosopo had joined the Everett office of the Richards Agency, representatives for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. Tuiasosopo was an All-American football player at UCLA and later professionally for the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers.

Gary Lingenfelter had joined the residential sales staff of American Properties Northwest Inc. of Everett after completing a real estate training program. He was the former owner of Fran's Carpets of Everett.
