Energy drinks have made the leap from the Kwik-E Mart to the hippie health food store, as a new breed of the caffeine-laced beverages is being touted for its organic ingredients.

The beverages are aimed at people who are careful about what they put into their bodies, and so look for products that make the healthiest-sounding vague and unsubstantiated health claims.

Heeeeerrre's ... whatever: With Jimmy Fallon poised to take over "The Tonight Show" from Jay Leno, Tv writer Steve Johnson contends that the age of Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Twitter has rendered the traditional talk show format obsolete.

The Buzz will reserve judgment until we see what Jack Paar has to say about this on his Twitter feed.

It tells the time, too: Apple is seeking to trademark the term "iWatch" in Japan as the technology giant works on a wristwatch that functions like an iPhone or iPad.

No word on when the gadget might be introduced, but jut-jawed Detective Dick Tracy says he'll camp out at his local Apple Store to be the first to buy one.
