Cougar killed on I-5 near Woodland

WOODLAND -- A Washington State Patrol trooper shot and killed a cougar that was seriously injured when it was struck by a car Friday on I-5 near Woodland.
Trooper Will Finn said the cat had significant trauma but managed to get to the median where it was shot to end its suffering.
Finn said the car had significant damage. The driver complained of shoulder pain but declined medical attention.
