Camano: Workshop on tax program
The Snohomish Conservation District and the Whidbey Island Conservation District plan to host a workshop focused on the Current Use Program, which provides tax benefits for keeping land in agriculture and timber use.
The workshop is planned for 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Camano Multi-Purpose Center, 141 N. East Camano Drive.

Coupeville: Applicants sought for committee
The Island County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for the Coupeville Ferry Committee.
Members, who serve four-year terms, meet as needed to discuss the concerns of the ferry user groups and relay that information to lawmakers in Olympia. Committee members are unpaid.

Everett: Registration closed during upgrade
The Everett Parks and Recreation Department's class registration, facility rental reservations and related customer service functions will be temporarily closed Monday and Tuesday during computer system upgrades. The system is expected to be up and running again Wednesday.
Pressing rental reservations or class or program choices should be made before Monday. Swimming registration will also begin March 18 instead of Monday. For questions, call the recreation office at 425-257-8300, ext. 2.
Stanwood: School to stage 'Footloose'
Stanwood High School's spring musical is "Footloose," under the direction of Ken Sims.
The production opens with a 7 p.m. curtain Friday and also runs March 9, 14, 15 and 16 in the Stanwood High School Performing Arts Center.
Senior Natasha Bennett, recognized by Seattle Fifth Avenue High Musical Theater Awards last year, is the choreographer. Senior Savanna Woods plays the lead character, Ariel, and senior Selena Tilbert, who has been busy auditioning for acting schools, plays Ariel's mother.
Free clinic now offers podiatry care
Safe Harbor Free Clinic is taking appointments for its podiatry clinic at 6 p.m. Friday at the Skagit Regional Clinic, 9631 269th St. NW.
The clinic addresses foot ailments. No referral is necessary.

International Women's Day fundraiser
A celebration of women is set for 6:30 to 9 p.m Friday at Studio Z, 7009 265th St. NW.
Tickets are $25, which includes food, drinks, a fashion show, entertainment and an auction.
Proceeds go to local and global organizations that support women and girls.
