Columnist could curb partisanship

SHARE: facebook Twitter icon Linkedin icon Google+ icon Email icon |  PRINTER-FRIENDLY
On most issues, I lean conservative. I believe in conservation, limiting paper, so we save trees. After reading a number of Sid Schwab's columns in the Sunday Opinion section, it seems obvious that the Herald could save newsprint, and its readers time, if his weekly column simply said, "Democrats good, Republicans bad." It is sad that in his column Sunday, "Climate change, like science, needs to be nonpartisan," he admits twice, that he cannot understand a different point of view on the issue he writes about. How simplistic to believe that issues are so black and white, and that if you do not agree with me, you must be stupid, evil, or even worse, Republican.
