Training is not a one-time class

SHARE: facebook Twitter icon Linkedin icon Google+ icon Email icon |  PRINTER-FRIENDLY
Regarding the Dec. 28 article, "200 teachers get firearms training": I don't know whether I should laugh or cry at the picture of Christine Caldwell getting her six-hour gun training in Utah. Please tell me this teacher has the money to purchase a gun, making sure the weight, balance, recoil and trigger pull are correct for her. And then she will devote the time and money to stay competent to handle her gun. Otherwise, if I were a nut job intent on killing her and others, when she commanded "Stop right there!" and I saw her looking down her gun barrel as portrayed in the photo, I would be laughing as I shot her dead.
Signed: a woman who knows how to handle a gun.
