Spokane Fire Department downsizes medical calls

SPOKANE -- Starting next week some Spokane fire stations will dispatch smaller vehicles instead of large ladder trucks on medical calls.
Chief Bobby Williams told KHQ that nearly 80 percent of the calls at some stations are medical-related and citizens question using expensive trucks.
He said trucks can be dispatched if needed.
