Sale benefits choir
The choir booster club at Eisenhower Middle School is having a garage sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event will be at Eisenhower Middle School's commons, 10200 25th Ave. SE, Everett.
Money raised during the event will help pay for choir members to go to competitions, have overnight retreats, purchase music and assist with uniform expenses.

Bazaar in Everett: The Fall Holiday Gem Bazaar promises to be a gem of a show with Everett Rock & Gem Club members selling items of their own design and from their personal collections. Some of those selections include sterling silver, gemstone jewelry, intarsia and wire wrap, stone bowls and vases, hand-crafted chain, cabochons and crystals.
The bazaar is to be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Everett United Church of Christ, 2624 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. There will be free refreshments and admission.

Shred event Saturday: WSU Waste Wise volunteers will be holding the first community Camano Island Document Shred-A-Thon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The public and local businesses can bring their confidential documents and financial statements to be shredded by a licensed and bonded shredding company. People can watch the papers being shredded through a monitor in the truck. The paper is then recycled.
The cost is $5 for each grocery bag or "banker's box" or $10 for an oversized bag or box. The event ends at 2 p.m. or until the truck is full. It will be held in the parking lot of the Island County Annex. Call Scott Chase at (360) 387-3443, ext 258, for more details.
