Everett Mountaineers: Meetings at 7 p.m. first Wednesday of the month, Snohomish County East Administration Building, 3000 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
North Sound Sea Kayaking Association: Club details at; 360-652-5510. Trip details at 360-691-9436. Free meetings, 7 p.m. first Thursdays October through May, Legion Park, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett, unless otherwise noted.
Over-the-Hill-Hikers: Various times on Thursdays, Edmonds Senior Center, 220 Railroad Ave.; Most trips cost $13 for senior center members and $16 for nonmembers. Call Larry Weimer, 425-513-9374, before signing up for the trip. For all hikes meet and park at United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St., Edmonds. Each hike is limited to 10 people.
Pilchuck Audubon Society: Tuesday birding trips, some weekends. Information at
Rasar State Park and Harry Osbourne State Forest, 3 to 9 p.m. June 16. Meet at 3 pm at Stanwood park-and-ride adjacent to I-5. Bring $5 per person for main dish/picnic shelter plus side dish to share, utensils, nonalcoholic drink and lawn chair for dinner. Bird walk before dinner at Rasar Park. Ellensburg, June 19. Meet at 6:30 AM at Monroe park-and-ride on U.S. 2, 1/2 mile west of the fairgrounds. Birding at Umtanum Creek, Robinson Canyon and other areas. Hope to see yellow-breasted chat, warbling vireo, lazuli bunting, and canyon and rock wren. Pack a lunch. Trip Leaders: Margaret Bridge, 360-862-1694; Virginia Clark 360-435-3750.
Mount Rainier/Ohanapecosh at Stevens Canyon entrance, June 24. Meet at 8 a.m. at Everett Mall, in the back near the transit facility. Six-mile loop along the Ohanapecosh River. National Park entrance fee $15 or Golden Eagle Pass. Bring hat, water, snack, sunscreen and lunch. Dinner stop on return. Leader: Jonathan Blubaugh, 425-244-7633,
