GRANITE FALLS -- A man was booked for investigation of vehicular assault Thursday after he reportedly hit another man with a car.
The victim, 21, of Marysville, apparently was the man's girlfriend's ex-boyfriend, Snohomish County sheriff's bureau chief Kevin Prentiss said.
The victim was struck by the car about 9:30 a.m. He was not seriously injured. The incident happened along Alyson Drive, south of Granite Falls.
Sometime later that day, the man reportedly shot a flare from a flare gun at the victim's vehicle at a different location, Prentiss said. No injuries were reported.
The man also was being investigated for second-degree assault and second-degree malicious mischief. No additional details were available Friday evening.
